Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour across Maharashtra to campaign for the BJP candidates contesting the Assembly elections. Meanwhile, PM Modi will visit Pune on Tuesday (November 12). In the background of this visit, the police force has been deployed across the city to maintain the security protocol of the PM’s visit.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the public meeting at the S.P College grounds in Pune. The Central Security Force, along with the Pune Police, has heightened security along Tikal Road and the neighbouring area of the venue. Teams of the Central Security Force have inspected the route from Lohgaon Airport to the meeting venue. Senior officers of the Pune City Police have reviewed the security arrangements.
Special branches, crime branch teams, traffic police, a dog squad, bomb detection squads, and destruction squads will also be present for security. Since Monday morning, a heavy police presence has been maintained in the areas of Jungli Maharaj Road (JM Road), Airport Road, and Tilak Road.
Four Additional Police Commissioners, ten Deputy Commissioners of Police, 23 Assistant Commissioners of Police, 135 Police Inspectors, 570 Police Sub-Inspectors will be deployed for security under the guidance of Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar and Joint Police Commissioner Ranjan Kumar Sharma.
