The Parvati Assembly constituency is in the limelight after senior Congress party leader and Ex-Deputy Mayor Ulhas (Aba) Bagul rebelled and filed an independent candidacy from the constituency. As there is little to no time left for the polling date, the candidates contesting the upcoming assembly elections have started their campaign in full swing in Pune. Parvati constituency is set to witness a triangular battle between the BJP’s Madhuri Misal, NCP (Sharad Pawar) Ashwini Kadam, and Ulhas (Aba) Bagul as an independent bearing diamond symbol for the elections.
Aba Bagul, an independent candidate from Parvati Assembly Constituency, went from house to house to meet voters of Parvati Constituency on Tuesday. The voters expressed their strong belief that Aba Bagul should win the elections as he has a strong network in the constituency.
Aba Bagul, while talking to newsnetwork360.com, said, “The confidence in my victory has doubled due to the response of the citizens, and I am overwhelmed by the love of the citizens. Now the only determination is victory; I will be elected with the blessings of the people.
Aba Bagul first visited the flower and vegetable market at Market Yard on Tuesday morning. He assured me that he will try to solve the traffic congestion and parking problems in the Market Yard area in the next six months.
He also assured to provide facilities such as washrooms for the farmers who come to the market and a luggage counter for the customers who come to buy. On this occasion, not only the farmers but also the citizens who came to buy vegetables wished Aba victory in the upcoming elections. The traders also expressed their desire that the market yard area should be developed and civic amenities be provided by the winning candidate.
After visiting the market yard, Bagul visited the citizens at Sambhaji Nagar, Chavan Nagar, and Shankar Maharaj Vasahat and went from house to house, taking the blessings of the elderly.
While Aba Bagul is confident about winning the assembly polls, the growing popularity has raised concerns amongst the BJP and NCP (SP) candidates in Parvati.
