A shocking incident has come to light from the Yerwada area of Pune where an ex Indian Army official allegedly shot a middle-aged man in the head for parking his four-wheeler near the entrance of his residence. As per the police, the accused, Shrikant Shyamrao Patil (age 45, Res. Shriram Mitra Mandal, Ashok Nagar, Yerawada), shot the victim, Shahnawaz Mulani, with his 12 mm bore rifle. Mulani was lying in a pool of blood and was rushed to the hospital. Mulani is in critical condition and hospitalised at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Sassoon General Hospital and undergoing treatment.
Dilshad Shahnawaz Mulani (age 33, Res. Shriram Mitra Mandal, Ashoknagar, Yerwada) has filed a complaint at the Yerwada Police Station in this regard. According to the police, the incident took place at Shri Ram Mitra Mandal Chowk on Thursday night at around 11 o’clock.
According to the information given by the police, Shahnawaz Mulani and Srikant Patil are neighbours. Earlier, an argument broke out between the victim and the accused over the parking of an old four-wheeler. On Thursday night also, they had an argument over the same reason.
The accused, Shrikant Patil, allegedly shot Shahnawaz Mulani with his 12mm bore gun, shot Mulani in the head, and seriously injured him.
Mulani was immediately rushed to the hospital and is undergoing treatment. The Police have arrested the accused Shrikant Patil, while Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Shelke is further investigating the case.
