The Congress party has once again shared the Parvati assembly constituency with the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) NCP (SP) attracting the wrath of senior Congress leaders and party workers of the constituency. NCP (SP) candidate Ashwini Kadam has filed her nominations while senior Congress leader and former deputy mayor Aba Bagul has rebeled to the Congress parties stand and filed his nomination as an independent candidate from Parvati.

Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: ‘Sangli Pattern’ Hoardings Creat Stir in Parvati Ahed of Elections  

The Congress party has once again shared the Parvati assembly constituency with the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) NCP (SP) attracting the wrath of senior Congress leaders and party workers of the constituency. NCP (SP) candidate Ashwini Kadam has filed her nomination. At the same time, senior Congress leader and former deputy mayor Aba Bagul has rebelled against the Congress party’s stand and filed his nomination as an independent candidate from Parvati.

Flex boards and hoardings stating that ‘Sangli Pattern will be implemented in Parvati’. The flex hoardings have been erected in various areas in the Parvati Constituency creating a stir in Pune ahead of Maharashtra assembly pools.

The Congress party workers from the Parvati constituency feel that despite having a senior candidate like Aba Bagul, the Congress party failed to negotiate for the Parvati constituency. Bagul supports has decided to implement the ‘Sangli Pattern’ in the Parvati Constituency.

Bharti Janta Parties (BJP) Madhuri Misal is the current MLA from the Parvati Constituency. Misal won three elections in a row against NCP (SP) candidate Ashwini Jagtap. The Congress workers from the Parvati Constituency felt that the party should have traded the constituency from the NCP (SP) and fielded Aba Bagul. However, the seat was shared with the NCP (SP), forcing Bagul to file as an independent candidate.

Aba Bagul who is known for various projects like the Kashi pilgrimage for the elderly and the successful running of the Rajiv Gandhi E-Learning school, felt that the Congress party has repeatedly wronged the senior leaders from Pune. Bagul stated that neglecting the senior party workers who have worked for more than 40 years will finish the Congress party from Pune.

Aba Bagul while talking to newsnetwork360.com said, “The Congress party has always neglected the workers who have worked hard for more than 40 years to grow the party in Pune. This approach will finish the Congress party from Pune.”
